Good Afternoon Friends!! I hope you had an amazing weekend! 

Today I want to talk about something very important....the bar cart of course! You can't have a house without some type of bar, where would the fun be in entertaining without one?! I have seen bar carts popping up all over the place in the past two years and I am obsessed with them. What better way to display your favorite beverages or be able to serve your guests their favorite drinks in a moments notice!

I love how they're so simple yet can be dressed up with a lamp, flowers, magazines, etc.

What are your thoughts on bar carts? Love them or hate them?!

Thursday Thinkings

I'm going to take a moment here to just ramble about life, it has been almost 3 months since I've seen my boyfriend. When people tell you long distance relationships aren't that bad they clearly have never been in one! There are ups and down's and sometimes you kind of feel like an emotional lunatic because you could be happy and smiley one second and crying for no apparent reason the next. This leads me to the "pondering's" I've posted below, I think they're a good illustration of how my emotions run from day to day :)

In the morning you start with the thought process above...

Then of course since I'm a girl and lets face it we make stuff up in our heads and can get a little emotionally unstable from time to time (we all know thats true! Don't deny it!) My thought process goes to something like this....

Oh Woe is me right? Ps. it would be Nicholas Sparks to say something like this... 

But by the end of the day I look around and think life isn't all that bad, I have a lot of things to be happy about! So it goes to this...

Design | Beach House Beauty

When I came across this re-designed beach house in House Beautiful I instantly began dreaming about long days on the beach. As I've said many times before I am not a huge nautical fan when it comes to decorating but it is used so subtly in this house that you can't help but to fall in love. 

I can totally picture myself at their outdoor bar enjoying the sunshine and a glass of vino :)

Design | OCD Meets My Favorite Place in the House

First and foremost, my heart goes out to the victims and volunteers at yesterday's Boston Marathon.

Two days in a row of posting!! After my many month hiatus this is quiet the accomplishment! 

Alright again enough of my ranting... I am a self proclaimed OCD neat freak, my roommates make fun of me because I will go around straightening the remote controls, lamp shades, etc. God help my boyfriend when we finally move in together, I don't think he knows what he's getting himself into! :)

You're probably wondering why I'm rambling about how OCD I am, well my fellow readers I have stumbled upon the perfect marriage of OCD/organization and a kitchen I have ever seen. I love how neat and clean cut everything looks. There seems to be the perfect place for every item, event the spices! 

No clutter in this kitchen! 

I am in LOVE with this cabinet!!

I love how you can find everything so easily yet it's all done so neatly!

Design | Front Porch Musings

Alright I admit it I am officially AWFUL at blogging! It's not even like I took a small amount of time off, not a weekend, not a week, no I took MONTHS off from doing this! I apologize for my apparent laziness and allowing myself to get sucked into work (sorry if you're reading this boss lady!). I promise I will never leave you out in limbo again....at least I hope I don't :)

Ok enough of my ranting and raving and onto my favorite thing this time of the year....sitting on the porch! 

It's the perfect time of the year right now in North Carolina, the weather isn't frigidly cold or blazingly hot. You get the occasional afternoon rain storm which makes sitting out on your front porch with a glass of vino all the more enjoyable.

If you asked anyone I am a self proclaimed OCD neat freak, I'm pretty sure it drives my roommates and boyfriend crazy! I just think there's something so calming when your space is clean and tidy, not to mention it makes finding things that much easier!
