Design | Love is Brewing

Personally I love when prospective clients reach out to me and ask if I can take one of my existing designs on etsy and change it....no I'm not kidding!! Sometimes they want little tweaks here and there and sometimes they want to change the item COMPLETELY. 

In a sense it creates a sort of challenge for me and gets me out of my comfort zone to come up with something perfect to match their vision...not to mention it adds another item into my portfolio! 

The other day a young lady messaged me and asked me if I could take a mad hatter mad libs (tongue twister!) and change it into a coffee lovers theme. I said of course! My pleasure!! and set about figuring out a new design for her. Once I got on a roll aka in the zone I decided I needed to create a matching invitation to go with it...because why would you just want the game piece when you can have the invite as well :)

Let's face facts...we live in an age where paperless posts and Facebook invitations are predominate, very rarely do you get an invitation in the mail. In my opinion I love getting items in the mail, it's almost like Christmas....if Christmas was mainly me getting bills. However, wedding invitations are one of those momentous occasions that just cannot be sent via e-vite, Facebook, event bright or any other social media portal you can think of. 

While I myself am not married...yet! I do enjoy looking and secretly pining the ones that catch my eye for future consideration ;) Below are some of my favorites right now:

Design | Baby Showers

You know how the old saying goes....first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage! Corny? Yes, I know but so true! Or let me try it from another angle for all you ladies out there who are still dating. You know that phase where all of your friends are getting married and you're in a million weddings? Basically your life is the movie 27 dresses (although with some of those outfits I HOPE to God not!), well after all of the weddings comes the next phase....baby showers!! 

If you're not in that phase yet 1) enjoy where you are with the weddings because at least there's actually alcohol involved with those and 2) get ready because it's coming!

Design | Kate Spade Inspired Shoot

I am not a "preppy" person; in fact I'm more of a clean cut, simplistic lines, and simple tones kind of person. However, when I stumbled upon this Kate Spade inspired wedding shoot I simply fell in love! Maybe it's the simplistic nature the shoot still holds or maybe it's the pops or gold and sequins....I mean lets be honest what girl can say no to gold and sequins?!

Design | Did you miss me??

I know, I know, it's been almost a whole YEAR since I've posted....I slacked off....

However, a whole lot has happened in the course of a year! I quit my job at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside, packed up all of my belongings in Wilmington, NC, said good bye to my friends (who I miss a lot!!) and moved all the way to Sarasota, FL! It's been a whirl wind of finding a new job, settling into a new apartment, decorating said apartment, and actually being around the boyfriend 24/7....I think he's finally adjusted to that as well :)

Soooo not a great excuse but I am back, revamped and ready to get back to posting!! 

I recently updated my etsy shop with some amazing new items, just in time for wedding season which is quickly approaching.
