This two bedroom home located in Pacific Heights, San Francisco does not take up much space. However, don't let it's small exterior fool you! The open floor plan makes it conducive to indoor/outdoor living; the white walls and large amount of windows helps to open everything up and make each room seem inviting and homey. I love everything from the pops of color to the light fixture in the dining room! This home is proof that size does not matter ;)

McAlpine Tankersley Architecture and McAlpine Booth & Ferrier Interiors have brought together the rustic with the masculine for this new wine bar and restaurant in Austin, TX. The interiors firm pairs rich textures with a neutral palette and emphasizes comfort; and although the architecture carries a more masculine feel the interior is purely feminine! Tufted banquettes, hand blown glass lamps, dark wood, and gorgeous paintings of the French countryside help to tie everything together beautifully! 

I need these lamps in my house ASAP!!

Is this exterior not the most gorgeous exterior you have ever seen?! This Georgian style structure with redbrick walls and high gloss black lacquer doors is quiet simply stunning. Of course the interior is just as amazing as the exterior...

Home to Susan Greenleaf- interior designer and mother of two; her gift for providing a relaxed and down to earth mood is evident in her interiors. The artwork alone provides a cheeky yet refined role in the mix! 

This is definitely a home where I could hang my hat at the end of each day (corny saying? yes I know :) )

Design | Outdoor Fireplaces

I know I've posted about outdoor fireplaces before, or maybe just outdoor fire pits? Regardless I am all for an outdoor anything! I love the comfort of being able to sit down on a nice night with a glass of wine, friends and a fire. This time of year is especially my favorite since it's still not TOO hot to function out doors.

I am obsessed with the pops of color in this out door area! It makes it a little more whimsical! 

This view alone is enough to make me want to sleep out here every night!

Someday I hope my back yard looks exactly like one of these!! Perfect for entertaining :)

Thursday Thinkings...

Did today happen? I mean seriously, I think I spent a total of one hour behind my desk today!! Oh well, I guess it makes the day go by faster and the weekend come a little closer!

Design | Ultra Stylish Paris Apartment

The eclectic combinations of this Paris apartment immediately caught my eye when I perusing Architectural Digest online! Although to some it may look like a hodge podge of various styles and items, I think that everything seems to come together in a very balanced and thoughtful way. I absolutely love her bold use of bright colors!! It makes the the space all the more inviting! Also the black marble in the bathroom is to die for! 

What do you think? Is it too much? Or could you see yourself living in a space like this?!

Design | Frank Gehry

I have always been a huge fan of Frank Gehry's work ever since I studied him in my Art History classes. With that being said it comes as no surprise that I fell in love with Patrick Dempsey's house, originally designed by Frank Gehry. It is a warm and artfully decorated house with a slight him of bohemian. The stark white walls with exposed wooden beams are enough to take your breath away. Throw in the large glass panel doors and high ceilings and you're practically in heaven! 

I don't know about you but the living room with the walls of chopped wood is just amazing to me! I love how something as simple as that can lead to such a wow factor! 

What do you think could you see yourself hiding away here?!

Design | Spring Style Sunrooms

With spring quickly ending and summer well on it's way rooms with large windows to allow natural light in are on the top of my list of things to love right now! 

There's nothing better then curling up in chair by the window to read a book, or sip a glass of wine while day dreaming. The rooms below are the perfect combination of comfort, natural light and summertime!
