Design | Decorating for Christmas

I don't know about you guys but the second the calendar switches over to December 1st I am blaring the Christmas music, searching for Christmas movies on TV and researching different ways to decorate my house! While there are many different ways to decorate for the holidays, I always seem to lean more towards the traditional red and green palette. However, you can never go wrong with something a little more elegant! Here are some of my favorite ideas for holiday decorating:

My mom always use to intermix Magnolia green's in with her garland on the mantle, but why not nix the garland completely in favor of just the Magnolia greens?! You won't need to whip out the vacuum every couple of days to clean up the needles!

You can never go wrong with a plain box wreath on your front door. This one from West Elm also comes in a square which I love!

Why not decorate in places other then where you open presents?! The whole house needs to have a festive feel when your guests travel from room to room!

I love love LOVE the way they did their window boxes!

Happy Friday eve! I don't know about you but after taking off of work for almost a week I feel like I need ANOTHER week to recover. Since that won't be happening anytime soon I'll just continue to count down until the weekend :)

The well known designer brings new life to his Manhattan apartment with spare, all American glamor!

Everything about this space screams perfection to me. From the stark whiteness to the random pops of color to the clean cut lines. Not only does it look homey but it looks inviting despite the fact that it is so minimalistic. 

I would be thrilled if I could call this apartment home!!!

Design | BPC Design Firm

I found BPC Architects while reading through Architectural Digest and was immediately drawn to their design style. Gorgeous living rooms, fabulous kitchens, not to mention white everywhere are just a few of the things that make this design firm so good. 

I would want to eat every single one of my meals out on this porch!

I am loving everything about this kitchen....especially the subway tile.

I love the Venetian mirrors combined with that pop of turquoise!

The Louis ghost chairs are one of my all time favorite items!!
